Counselor - Adult Trauma & Couples

(Full Time: 2 positions)  (*may include eves or Saturday) 

​

Seeking a skilled mental health counselor who can bring their expertise/ experience and a true desire to work with adults struggling with issues related to trauma that has significantly impacted their quality of life. This counselor will engage and support adults with evidence-based interventions/techniques that will  promote their healing.  

 

Additionally, this counselor will have similar expertise in working with couples to resolve conflict in healthy and healing ways. Demonstrating, teaching, observing and engaging couples in evidence-based approaches which empower them to gain valuable insight and learn new ways of being in relationships.  

 

Training and practice in EMDR, Brain Spotting, IFS, Gottman, Imago or other related approaches is most desired. 

 

Ability and desire to work collaboratively with a team. 

 

Desire to commit to working in an agency.

General Qualifications for Counselor positions: (related to current postings)

 

  • Completion of Masters Program (MCoun, MFT, MSW or other related degree) 

  • Licensure: Preference for licensed individuals or those very close to completion of hours to be licensed.  (*Oregon or reciprocal state for approval) 

  • Professional Counselor Associate or equivalent registered with OBLPCT 

  • Experience: Minimum 3yrs or substantial work experience post-graduation, in the role of Counselor. 

  • Hiring & Retention Bonus for Bilingual Counselor devoting at least 30% of their work to Spanish speaking clients.
