Bilingual Client Navigator (Bienvenidos Program): 

​

Seeking a bilingual (Spanish speaking) individual to be part of our Front Desk team, and the main contact for Spanish speaking clients and referral sources in the Central Oregon community. While your prime focus will ultimately be Spanish speaking individuals, you will also be cross-trained to support and assist scheduling, phone and personal encounters with all clients and counselors as needed. . 

 

The individual in this position will work directly with our administrative team, our bilingual counselors, referral sources and be the main “point person” facilitating access to mental health services in Spanish. 

 

This is currently a 30hr a week position in conjunction with our new BIENVENIDOS program, funded by a grant from Pacific Source.  However, we do plan to continue this position beyond this initial ‘set-up’ year, likely expanding to 40hrs weekly with potential for some case management work. Current starting salary for this job is $17-$18 an hr, dependent on qualifications. (benefits and $1,200 hiring bonus) 

 

May include some weekday evening hours and potential Saturdays. Yet to be determined. 

 

Most qualified candidates are: 

  • Desiring to promote the expansion of mental health services to Spanish speaking persons.  

  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse populations. 

  • As a “first face” of Juniper Mountain Counseling, demonstrate a consistent ability to remain courteous and patient in dealing with clients, their families, referral sources, and other entities with whom we engage for services at our agency. 

  • Highly organized, adaptable, creative and friendly. 

  • Enjoy working with a team, while still being able to work autonomously as needed. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word & Excel) 

  • Willingness and ability to learn our scheduling and intake procedures.  

  • Willing to contribute to improve overall office efficiency and access to services.

Qualifications: 

 

Bilingual- *Fluency in Spanish (required) 

 

Minimum Associates degree preferred w emphasis in HR, Communications, Multi-Cultural studies, etc. 

 

Previous experience working directly with the public in medical, customer service or education setting.
